BEST OF SHOW 2007

At the 2007 Florida State Fair, the drawing "Lady In Red" was awarded Best of Show. The drawing marks Tim's First colored pencil drawing since 2003. Dispite the color elements, all the black and white areas were in graphite. Although pictured here with only the 1st place ribbon for it's catagory, the BOS ribbon was given after the event because it was stolen twice while on display.

This year's Florida State Fair saw many great pieces of art. There were entries in classes such as oil, watercolor, pastel, and drawing to name just few. In the adult drawing class the judges picked two pieces by Tim Mandese as 1st place in their catagory and one piece also recieved best of show. Pictured at left are graphite drawings " Flash In The Pan"(L) and "Run Aground"(R). The 2008 show marks the 3rd year Tim has won a 1st place ribbon and the 2nd year for best of show.

The drawing "The Modern Minuteman" was entered into the 2006 Florida State Fair's art contest in the Adult drawing class.
The work of art took 1st place in it's catagory.
